Nike Kyrie 1 AS “All Star”
The Nike Kyrie 1 launched late last year, and we’ve seen some dope colorways drop since. Now in typical Nike fashion, they’ve blessed the Kyrie 1s with an All Star Game colorway. This isn’t just any colorway though, it was actually inspired by New York City. Nike took inspiration from the All Star game’s host city for all of their All Star releases, and the Nike Kyrie 1s are definitely one of the dopest. His particular pair took inspiration from the famous City Hall Subway station, one of the first subway stations in the world that’s known for its speed in connecting people to different boroughs in the city.
If you didn’t see the connection by now, this NYC landmark makes sense for Kyrie because of how big of a factor speed is in his game. This subway station was closed down in 1945 but remains a legendary landmark in the city that Kyrie will be playing tribute to in these special edition All Star kicks.
